Soulfly es una banda de groove metal formada en 1997 por el brasileño Max Cavalera luego de su decisión de abandonar Sepultura debido a diferencias personales. El sonido de la banda incorpora elementos de thrash metal, nu metal, así como rítmos propios de Brasil y e influencias de world music.
Primitive, editado el 26 de setiembre de 2000, es el segundo album de la banda, y fue recibido con duras críticas por los fans de Max Cavalera. Fue grabado en Saltmine Studio Oasis en Arizona. Fue producido por Toby Wright, y co-producido y masterizado por Max Cavalera.

Family Values tour 2006

Aunque no es del gusto general de las personas que frecuentan el blog, el disco esta bueno, a pesar de que lo estelariza Korn... trae buenos recuerdos de juventud :P

Originalmente c un tour anual, el Family Values regresó en el 2006 tras cinco años de suspensión.
Más de 400 000 entusiastas fans se unieron al Family Values Tourn para la maratón de espectáculos

El tour trajo muchas sorpresas con apariciones especiales, Chino Moreno (Deftones) cantando "Wicked" o Corey Taylor (Slipknot o Stone Sour) haciendo su versión en vivo de "Freak on a Leach" junto a KoRn.
El bajista de Korn, Reginal "Fieldy"fue forzado a entrar al escenario en lugar del guitarrista Munky" durante la canción "Blind", luego de que se reconociera que éste estaba borracho
